After a long wait, I came back to the most magical place on Earth.
We started our week in Orlando by visiting Epcot, which by this point is becoming a family tradition.
I must admit I only came to understand the real magic of Epcot after I became an adult (although the park is a great experience for kids as well). Today, it is definitely one of my favorite parks at Walt Disney World in Orlando – And it is not because of the drinks, as many websites like to justify as the fun of the complex.
Epcot is rich in details, interesting and has one of the coolest reasons to exist.
Epcot was the second Disney park to open in Orlando, in 1982.
Initially, it was conceived by Walt Disney himself to be something very different from what it is today: a utopian and futuristic city, where about 20 thousand people would actually live and work.
The project was called “Project X” for many years and ended up taking new directions after Walt Disney passed away – At the time, it was unfeasible for Disney to manage a city and the Magic Kingdom was already an absolute success among Americans.
But not all of the original project was lost. In honor of its initial purpose, Epcot was named after its first concept (Experimental Community of Tomorrow) and to this day, the park celebrates technology, futurism, culture and the community of Earth.
As usual, our day at Epcot started at The Land pavilion.
The Land pavilion it is home of one of the main attractions of Epcot called Soarin’ Around the World.
Soarin’ is a flight simulator that takes its crew on a journey around the globe. I love this attraction so much that I usually face its (long) line more than once when we visit the park. It’s always nice to see people getting amazed by the ride and hear several exclamations of surprise throughout the flight.
Honestly, seeing people getting moved by Disney attractions is always one of the highlights of my experiences in these parks.

Depois de muito esperar, finalmente tive a chance de voltar para o lugar mais mágico do mundo. Começamos nossa viagem pelo Epcot, o que já está quase se tornando uma tradição na minha família.
Confesso que só passei a entender a real mágica do Epcot depois que fiquei adulta. Hoje, ele é definitivamente um dos meus parques preferidos do Walt Disney World – E não é pelos drinks, como vários sites gostam de justificar como a graça do complexo.

Como de costume, o nosso dia no Epcot começou pelo pavilhão The Land. É nesse pavilhão que temos uma das principais atrações do parque, o Soarin’ Around the World.
O Soarin’ é um simulador de voo, que leva seus tripulantes a uma volta ao mundo. Gosto tanto da atração que normalmente encaro a sua (longa) fila mais de uma vez ao dia. É sempre incrível ver as pessoas se emocionando com o passeio e ouvir várias exclamações de surpresa ao longo do voo.
